On Good Friday 2005, a terrible and preventable explosion took the lives of Eva Rowe’s parents and the lives of thirteen fathers, mothers, sons and daughters of other families. Eva and Brent Coon have committed to ensure no other family has to experience the pain of losing a loved one to an avoidable incident.
Today a bill is in the Texas Legislature to everything possible to prevent such a tragedy from ever occurring again. The Eva Bill is an amendment to Section 1, Chapter 411 of the Texas State Labor Code. If this bill had not been held in committee, this catastrophe might have been prevented.
Now Eva asks for your help in preventing a similar tragedy from occurring in your state and to your loved ones. Nicholas Lampson, the U.S. Congressman from the 22nd District, has agreed to take this important legislation to Washington, D.C. She asks you to help remember all fifteen victims by writing Congressman, or signing her petition calling on Congress to pass and enact a national Eva Bill.
